Experienced Postpartum Doula
My interest in becoming a postpartum doula grew after I gave birth to my son in 2019. While there is so much preparation and support during pregnancy, I feel that care of the family as a whole during the postpartum period can be lacking. Getting rest, eating nutritious meals, nursing/feeding support, and having someone to help guide new families through this transition is so important.
I am a Certified Postpartum Doula with NAPS, having completed my training with the Simkin Center in July 2020, and currently working towards certification as a lactation educator. Other professional interests that I continue to seek education on are postpartum nutrition and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. I also hold my BA in English: Professional and Creative Writing through Central Washington University.
Born and raised in Washington State, I now make my home in Woodinville with my husband and young son. I have a passion for healthy eating, working out (when I can!), and all things cozy!
